Telegraph Antivoid - V1.1
Telegraph Antivoid » Devlog
One month after the initial release, the game is now receiving its (probably) unique update. Various adjustments, refinements, and polish were necessary following the initial two-week game jam period, and after considering player feedback. This marks the conclusion of my first game development experience, which has been a great journey. I hope you enjoy the fruit of it!
Release Note v1.1
- Added high scores, as well as auto-saving of new records for flexing purposes.
- Soldier poles have changed their minds, and can now transmit messages to other poles.
- Soldier pole price increased from 25 to 30.
- Added buttons for you to mute the annoying music, and the annoying sounds, at any time.
- Improved message and projectile visuals for enhanced readability.
- Poles now produce a yellow message.
- Relay poles now produce a distinguishable black message.
- Projectiles now match the color of incoming messages.
- Added visual effects when creating a pole, dismantling a pole, and when a pole is exploding.
- Added satisfying button click sounds.
Minor changes:
- Revamped button tooltips for a clearer understanding of the game.
- Buttons are now visually disabled when pausing the game.
- Fixed some bugs:
- Floating messages appeared in the foreground when pausing or ending a game.
- When poles were about to be created, the previewed wire between the telegraph key and the pole sometimes never disappeared.
- Some poles could not be dismantled by clicking on the part that stuck out of the playing area.
- Tooltips were unreadable when pausing the game.
- It was sometimes possible to control the ending screen by using the space bar, leading to involuntary triggers.
- Optimized the infection cycle. (Now calculated through the full cycle, instead of one pass every cycle).
